Our Story

Hey there! This is Herson and Claria and we just want to say Welcome to Shepherd Matcha Co. We're so excited to share with you the why, the how and the process behind every cup.

Our love for matcha and hojicha began on our first trip to Japan in 2024. We fell in love with the care, quality, and experience behind every cup. After returning home, we spent two years making it for ourselves. Now, we’re excited to share something we’ve loved for so long with our community.

We prepare every matcha and hojicha with the traditional techniques we experienced in Japan. From the water temperature to every carefully measured scoop, each cup is hand-whisked with care so every first sip feels just right.
